Kaitlin Wadley is a lifelong Midwesterner whose life can be divided into two halves, the first of which was spent in Lafayette, Indiana, and the second in Minneapolis, Minnesota, where Kaitlin currently resides. Constantly curious and always eager to learn about something new, Kaitlin is a multidisciplinary artist whose media include drawing, painting, embroidery, knitting, pyrography, and beadwork.

Embodying the archetype of the flaneur, Kaitlin’s work has always focused on evocative portraiture. A lifelong fascination with getting inside other people’s - and animals’ - heads has led to paintings whose loving attention to nuance, expression, and detail attempt to do the same, while also sharing a winking self-awareness about their own nature as two-dimensional objects.

Kaitlin’s influences include High Renaissance portraiture, the Wyeth dynasty, Kent Williams, and just about every color found in nature. Kaitlin uses any and all pronouns.
